🎬 MovieFinder's Take

Fernando Arrabal constructs a parable of freedom and violence, relying on grotesque imagery and surreal tableaux. He explores the nature of creative rebellion against the blind cruelty of fanaticism, building a powerful allegory where the personal becomes inescapably political.

What lingers after the credits is a disquieting meditation on art's fragile stance against the grinding wheels of history. The film challenges with its stark, almost theatrical symbolism. — MovieFinder Editorial
