An empty glass on the windowsill. A letter without a signature. These are the only clues for a man convinced he is gravely ill, despite his doctor’s insistence to the contrary. This 1961 comedy follows a wealthy hypochondriac whose desperate quest for a diagnosis turns his household upside down. Servants scramble to fulfill his whims, while a parade of dubious medical figures eagerly exploit his fears.
