Gaye Adegbalola (born Gaye Todd; March 21, 1944) is an American blues singer, guitarist, educator, and activist. She rose to prominence as a founding member of Saffire – The Uppity Blues Women (1984–2009), touring internationally and earning a Blues Music Award for “Middle Age Blues Boogie.” Adegbalola was a recognized science teacher before turning to music full-time and has since released multiple solo albums, taught workshops, and been honored for her contributions to music and social justice...
