She was famous for her role as a strong-willed woman and a cruel mother-in-law in the films she worked in. She was married to the great artist Mahmoud Al-Meligy from 1939 until his death in 1983. Before that, she had married when she was thirteen years old and gave birth to her only daughter, Isis. She retired from acting in 1967 and passed away in 1994.
