His solo play Yeomjaengi Yu-ssi (염쟁이 유씨), created with him as the central performer, premiered in 2004 and has since been staged in multiple long-running seasons. Yu Sun-ung is affiliated with the theatre group Art Factory Dure (예술공장 두레) and is particularly known for playing elderly characters.
