In 1923, E. Umurzakov entered the Kazakh Institute of National Education “Kino.” Since 1925, Umurzakov was a member of the Central Club of the All-Russian Youth Union of the Kazakh SSR, organized in Orenburg. From 1925, he became an actor of the Kazakh Academic Drama Theater named after M. Auezov. He appeared in films starting from 1938 (his first role was Amangeldy Imanov in the film “Amangeldy”). He passed away on April 2, 1974, in Alma-Ata.
