Zeki Demirkubuz (born 25 July 1964) is one of Turkey’s prominent film directors. His retrospectives have been shown at the Viennnale, Boston Museum of Art, Toronto Film Festival, Anthology Film Archives, University of Michigan, Film Society of Lincoln Center, Brussels Cinematheque, and New Horizons Film Festival, Cluj Film Festival among others. His retrospectives have been shown at the Viennnale, Boston Museum of Art, Toronto Film Festival, Anthology Film Archives, University of Michigan, Film Society of Lincoln Center, Brussels Cinematheque, and New Horizons Film Festival, Cluj Film Festival among others. Following The Waiting Room (2003), in which he also played the lead role, he directed Destiny (2006), which tells the prequel story of Innocence; he subsequently directed the films Envy (2009), Inside (2012), Nausea (2015), and Ember (2016).
