In 1998 Charlie divorced from Roy Ramirez, a fellow former porn actor who was known during his time in porn as "Mr. Charlie" (with whom she had one child) and in November of 2000 she married fellow porn star Jonathan Simms, who reportedly died in March 2002 due to a brain aneurysm. Charlie retired from the adult film industry in 2005. She is the daughter of bodybuilder Kitana Steele, who joined the porn industry in 1997 following in her daughter's footsteps.
