In addition to his television work, he appeared in films such as A Cool, Dry Place (1998), Bride of Chucky (1998), and The 6th Day (2000). His more recent projects include Burden of Truth (2018–2021) and Saving Hope (2017). He studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Bass was married to actress Laura Carswell.
