She attended Atomi University in Tokyo and gravitated towards a life as an entertainer becoming a model, gravure idol and race queen in 2003. She used the Akagi Maiko at this time. She had initially imagined herself as a stewardess. She joined Nasa Entertainment and worked as a club hostess in Tokyo. She is later represented by Asche. Yuri has half a dozen photo books to her name, done stage work and appeared in numerous magazines. She married Murakami Naoya in June 2017 and ceased her gravure work. She gave birth to a girl in 2018. Yuri's favourite food is Chinese.
